Two points: 1. I was looking through the battle in campaign mode of "Russians Comming" in Jena and a full campaign in Eckmuhl and was amazed to see Allies have no pioneers units while French do have them.[:I] Even more amazing since in single scenario version of Russians are comming they are present![:0] Maybe this strange thing could be eliminateed in next patch? 2. We have a rule incorporated that allows to destroy/repair bridges across rivers, i.e. water that is at the very least one hex wide. But what about creecks and streams? Why can't these bridges be destroyed in order to prohibit or hinder enemy movement and why they can't be repaired?
![]()
Eyo Imperatorskogo Velichestva Leib-Kirassirskogo polku General-Mayor Anton Valeryevich Kosyanenko Commander of the Second Army of the West
|

1. Thanks for noting this. I will add in the Prussian Miners/Pioneers in the next update. Eckmuhl: this will take some time to find all of the scenarios where they need them. I thought I had added in pioneers for the Austrians for that one. Please let me know which scenario you think I missed. I also would like to add in weather scenarios for Eckmuhl. I cant update the current PDT file to have weather as it would mess up the current games you are all in. 2. I have asked John about this before. So far its no go. Maybe a note from you to him via the HPS support email might change that. Those bridges are hard coded and thus I am not sure if he can do it. Its something I have thought of for some time. The only alternative I have is perhaps to make full water hex where bridges are located and then add in the bridge .... dont really like to do things that way. Maybe John will go for it coming from a customer ... Note to all: if you find a scenario in Eckmuhl that doesnt have pioneers would you send me the scenario filename and the side that you think doesnt have pioneers/sappers. I made a thorough run through of Eckmuhl for the last patch due to Rich contacting me about it sometime ago and I thought I found all of the situations where they should be present. I may have missed one or two so if you find one let me know. Same goes for Jena or Wagram ... Dont bother Rich with it ... send it directly to me via the forum email function. With wich patch were they introduced in Eckmuhl? It appears I have 1.08 installed now.[:I] Will download the last one and look through the big scenarios. But that seems rather strange to me. If pioneers are a part of oob for each corps (just like it's done in Wagram or for the French side in Eckmuhl) they must be present on the map. Specially the large battles. The way I as a commander will use them is only up to me - to guard the bridges, as a HQ guard or as a mere infantry.
![]()
Eyo Imperatorskogo Velichestva Leib-Kirassirskogo polku General-Mayor Anton Valeryevich Kosyanenko Commander of the Second Army of the West
|

Paco and I recently played one of the Landshut crossing scenarios as part of a campaign. There were only two small coys of Austrian Pioneers in the scenario. A couple hits with French guns and there wasn't much left of them. This is no where near enough to have a chance of crossing before time runs out. I never got any of the bridges repaired before the scenario ended. In the large 500+ turn Eck. battle I seem to remember having Pioneers enough to work on two bridges at once..I'll email you the scenario name later.
