Post subject:  Marengo and Friedland Day

Two of my favorite battles (the former IS my favorite) are remembered today. A salute to all of the fine soldiers that fought for their countries for king, emperor or just mom and dad.

No salute to these fellows? Will a Frenchman join me in saluting Desaix, surely a rising star in French leadership, cut down too early in life?
