In 1990 and 1991 the Russians released commemorative coins marking the 250th anniversary of this famous event. Name this event.

The Russian empress Elizabeth Petrovna (1709-1761) ruled from 1741 to 1761. Her reign was marked by Russia's continuing Westernization and growth as a great power.

Is this it?

LOL

John got the answer right! [:D][:p]

Ok, just funning Allies but you really should try out some of our perfume!

The correct answer is right along the lines that Angelo listed. It was 250 years since the Russians had landed in Alaska and began colonizing the "New World."

I have an idea for a module that would use Russians vs. 1812 Americans. Basically Indian tribes fighting with the Russians against American regulars. Can you imagine the Pavlov Grenadiers screened by Apaches?

Well at least my Google Schools have been vindicated.

LOL

But yes can you imagine that, the Grand Russian Army deploying Native Americans as skirmishers.

Well who knows, it might have work based on the shock value of such a formation.
