When will the Napoleonic series finally evolve into a true TCP/IP game, I so much prefer a live Face To Face encounter than this million files affair.

A simple 6 to 12 turn game could probably play out in 1 or 2 hours of Real Time gaming, with a clear winner on the very same day.

I tried to use the TalonSoft Modem or Web play and it is horrible, best try to eat an Elephant with a plastic fork.

Well I am waiting for the next big thing so to speak, I bought the HPS title and it was never used.

Life goes on I suppose.

To each his own. The only semi-realtime game I have seen that I like is Combat Mission.

All the rest of them lose my interest.

First, not all of us have the time to play online. Even a game like Total War 2 online slows down due to server exchange, etc.

I like to think out my moves. Real time is way too fast for me for this series. I know that John will never convert it to that format.

Real-time wouldn't work for me either...no time to fit that in.

You can hook up on-line for a 3 on 3 MP game though and things move right along...if you can find 5 other people to game with that is. [:p]

Play on-line, one-on-one, and you can have your game done in a few hours.

Yes, but I can get a PBEM game done in one day too if its with the right player.

Mon ami bar keep more beer or what ever this garcon is drinking ! find someone who wants to play an all day game and you got it but I think most of the gamers have a life outside 1800s. We use to have all day table top and I tell you it never really worked out well with sometimes four per side. It was a battle home and there.
