Is there a workaround for the Talonsoft games, BGW, NiR and PTW...????

The short answer is "No." The long answer ends the same way. I've tried all the tricks that I know and the games will not work with Vista.

I'm lucky and have an older machine (in my son's bedroom) that still has Windows XP and the games work all right with that product.

Matrix Games are supposed to be re-releasing the BG games sometime (with them you never know when). I believe those will be Vista compatible.

They are listing them as 2 games: John Tiller's Battleground Civil War, and John Tillers Battleground Napoleonic Wars, both are compilations of the BG games of that war, and both are listed as "coming soon".
