If you've defeated a French officer in past month, then give a cheer and stand up so that my dear, Helga (the tavern keeper) can bring you what you're drinking. And put it on my tab.

God Save the King!

Huzzah!

My dear and estimate Sir Muddy

Defeat a frenchman for an allied officers is impossible or, at least as often than the victory of England rugby team in the six nations tournament. [:D][;)] Last time, it was in 2003 -))) (I speak of England rugby team of course).

Anyway, one whiskey for me. I am not an allied officers but like to drink with a so estimate opponent. I know I was not invited but I like to go where I am not invited.
Oh, I forget : I drink to the "emperor" of c[:o)]urse[;)]

Huzzah! Vive l'Empereur !

How lucky you are indeed, as there can be no finer company.

As the rest of your varied coalition partners (with the noteable exception of M. Barlow) have chosen this particular moment to become quite scarce, I will take pint or two at my usual seat by the fire.

Cheers!

Well I lent Kutusov a hand in September and on the way back to the tavern I picked another victory at Quatre Bras in October.

Then there are the two fine French officers I currently have on the ropes in two pair of mirror games at Quatre Bras.

So two victories in two months and four more by the end of the year.

Since you are buying Sir Muddy, I will have my usual ...................

Sorry sir, but these are all Talonsoft games.

Alas, my first attempt at Eckmuhl was an unmitigated disaster. I couldn't even get across the silly bridge.

My 2009 goal is to use the Christmas holiday break to come to a better understanding of the HPS engine. Then maybe I can help you add an entry to the French board that seems to be accompanying this one.
