Another lazy evening in the Tavern. Muddy is holding court at his table while regaling several younger officer of his deeds, real or imagined. May I have your attention one and all. It is with Great pride that his Majesty grants the baton to Monsieur le Marechal Yann Lamezec for his stead fast service and devotion to The French army and the men he commands. I believe Muddy has a fetish for batons.. Perhaps he will not get this one [:D]

Monsieur le Marechal Baron John Corbin Commanding L'Armee du Rhin Grande Duc de Piave et Comte de Beauvais Commanding the Division de Cavalerie de la Moyenne Garde NWC President
|

Mrss I don't know if I merit the batton that the emperor give me. But one thing is sure : I am very happy that such a galent group of officers seat at my table. So I have only one word to say : thanks to all. Thanks for your congratulations ; Thanks for the pleasure you gave me and you will give me in playing with me, Thanks for your friendness and even thanks to Geert, Konstantin, Andreas, Paco, Chuck, (the men who beat me) for the lesson of modesty that they gave me in the past, in fights or in manoeuvers. After these few words, I offer the rounds this night. Best regards Marechal Lamezec Prince et Comte de Davout French CIC |

THe French side of the Tavern erupts in a roar. Sir Muddy rises to see what the commotion is about. Ah, it is a newly arrived baton for M. Lamezec. The smile on Sir Muddy's face is replaced by a grin, "Tres bien, Gen. Lamezec", he shouts across the room. "Excusez moi, Marechal Lemezec". He raises his glass of English Ale in salute. He returns to his chairs and turns to his aide-de-camp. "Add Marechal Lamezec's name to my list of baton twirlers that have not yet been forced to offer up their baton for my trophy room". Mon ami let me humbly present you with my Guns and my sword and ma oath of loyalty to you and the Emperor; what is that eternal noise that sounds like cats purring! Oh know not that enervated, milquetoast and his rabble of malcontents using any an every opportunity to sound his Virginia horn and tot on his corn pipe. Oh pardon ma Mon General you said, to not become part of that rawness. Pardon ma Mon Muddiness for my unpardonable behavior at the celebration. I got sober and dress in my best today merci Col de Art 6/3 II Corps AN Marbot CS |
