When are HPS finally going to bring one of the most important part of the Napoleonic Wars onto the market? The war was an ulcer to the French empire ,draining resources and manpower over a period of nearly 7 years....(everyóne is moaning about Iraq!!!!) come on HPS give us what we want....give us The War in the Peninsular |

I can tell you for sure ... not this year. Its in the works as Rich H. relayed this to you guys some time back. We dont normally talk about titles but Rich admitted it was ongoing. I know he is swamped but you WILL get it eventually. We have many games in the works. When we are done you will pretty much have the entire period covered. We might have to pass on a few smallish campaigns but the major ones and a few minors will be covered. I have two titles in the works. One has alot of materials done and has gone to playtesting. Paco is heading up the playtest effort so I can concentrate on work. My other title needs alot of materials but I have enlisted a member from the club that Rich recommended to work on maps for me. He has finished half of one map and has the rest of the topo data to work with so its just a matter of time before that map is finished. I have OB data to do and of course the scenarios and so on. All in all look for more stuff in 2008. I am thinking 3 titles for sure unless something delays us. And I dont know if Pen Campaigns will be one of those. We have other titles in the works that may finish before that. I am excited about the series still. I like what we have seen in the area of engine improvements over the last year and we have others in mind that will help make the series even better! Be patient and enjoy the games we have so far! Bill It is indeed great to hear that you have three games in the pipeline and that you also intend to include all the major and some minor campaigns of the Napoleonic Wars. Can I ask if your future titles will be VISTA compliant? I ask as I am rather disappointed that VISTA frustrates my attempts to play the HPS games I have already purchased. Général de Division Greg Morgan Grande Duc de Montebello et Comte de Gironde Commandant IIIème Corps Armée du Nord Escadron des Gendarmes d'Elite "l'Immortels" de la Vielle Garde ![]() |

From what I understand, Rich H. can answer this better, we have a Vista update that is on the website and folks have been playing on that OS now for several months. Capt. I have no problems with any HPS games and VISTA. Most of them have been specifically patched. Feldmarschall Jim 'Prinz' Pfluecke Commander, Austrian Cavalry Reserve 3 Graf O'Reilly Chevauxleger Rgt Hahn Grenadier Bn |

Great! Isnt it nice when things on the PC work out like that! I still have some software I cant run on my Windows XP 64 system. Some start up but crash and others just never install. Have tried everything I know about PCs to get it going including checking out tech sites and the product website. No go. One is Total War: Rome. Can do battles but the campaign will crash everytime. Another is Aide de Camp II by HPS. This is a big negative as I have boardgames I want to play but dont have the room. No Cyberboard gamebox exists for some of these games either. Capt. Bill, I was stationed at Carlisle Bks back in the late 80s and was a frequent visitor to the Military History Institutes back stacks. This was before they built the new building and closed them to the public. In that time I made copies of OOBs covering the entire Napoleonic period. I have the Peninsula War covered by year (1807-1814). When you get to the point of working on this and need OOB info let me know and I will send it to you. Beric - any info you have on the Peninsualar battles should be sent to Rich H. I am sure that he will greatly appreciate any help you can give him. I may contact you concerning a certain period but for now am pretty much ok on my end. But Rich ALWAYS can use some help! [:D] Oops, that came out wrong! (rip out foot, insert hammer) Capt.
