Post subject: Glorious French Victory

Another quiet night in the Tavern. Sir Muddy is no where to be seen as he is apparently receiving lessons in tactics from Colonel Knox.

A few officers are seated around the fire, some obviously deep in their cups.

Suddenly the door swings open, snow and sharp winter winds follow. Two rather scruffy looking Marechals enter the tavern... Uniforms dirty, coats ripped and bloodied and the acrid smell of gunpowder about them.

"Helga my dear" one says cheerfully

"Bring up my store of Brandy and distribute it to all who are here. This day has seen French glory and Jena-Auerstedt"

French Casualties

Infantry - 30633
Cavalry - 12693
Artillery - 36
Leaders - 38
Supply - 1441

Allied Casualties

Infantry - 41185
Cavalry - 19298
Artillery - 118
Leaders - 50
Supply - 3722

A Major French Victory for Monsieur le Marechal Nowacki and myself over our gallant opponents Ed Blackburn and Jim Pfluecke. A toast to all, Especially Jim and Ed and most especially to my partner Tomasz.

I cannot think of a better way to end the year.

Yes,
Marechel Corbin can now add his name to Know and Nowacki as my current tormentors. It was a good fight but in the end Nowacki scatterd Blackburn and Corbin rolled up my flank at Jena and we sadly offerd our swords with 5 turns to go.
Salute!

'Tis the season of goodwill so I'll put aside the natural feelings of horror and join in this celebration. I'll be having some of that Brandy too[:D] Congratulations to you both! I just hope I fare better in my current battle against Knox and Nowacki on that same field. It has been a most brutal encounter so far.

Indeed! Col. Knox is showing me how not to play the Allies at Jena-Auerstadt. The Allies will have to huddle and uncover the winning strategy for this battle.

A small defeat on the road to ultimate victory over the French tyrant!

And Happy New Year --- best wishes to all for 2008.
