A question about which hexes exactly are considered "flank" for purposes of this optional rule. I cut my teeth on ACW games, in which there are two "flank hexes" on either flank. But the corner-facing in Napoleonics seems to make only one "flank hex". Can anyone clarify, please? Many thanks! Actually with units facing the hex side, as in the ACW games, there are no flanks at all. Three front (facing) hexes, and three rear hexes. Hence, only a rear attack, no flank attack modifier.
