Gentlemen of all arms!

We are happy to announce that the Headquarters of His Imperial Majesty's 2nd Army of the West has moved to a brand new location. All the Allied officers would be welcome, just follow the link from the Club main page. All the French officers can give up their swords to the officer on duty to be transferred to a lovely town on the banks of Volga.

Also it's my pleasure to award Siberian Grenadiers regiment's Mayor Alexandr Zaytsev with order of Saint Vladimir (IV rank) for his work on construction and maintenance of this lovely building (website).

I add to Jeka's comments--fantastic. A roster and officier dossier that is not only pleasing to the eye but up-to-date and informative. Someone deserves a lot of credit.
One question! What happened to everyone? Surely they can't have dropped out of gaming! If so we need to begin recruiting.

Paul,

We had two transfers Andy Moss to British and Philipp Chimara to Prussian army. Ruben Lopez has quit it a long time ago, Pavel Stafa left the wargaming and without such an active administrator Czech (Reserve) corps merely desintegrated. Juan Pablo da Cruz didn't answer two last musters and I treat him away. But it's not so pessimistic as it may seem. We are one of the most actively recruiting armies. You may see now that most of our members have only a few points in their dossier.

Right now our plans are to reissue the orders statute. We are working on a diverse system that would reward members for playing anything. Any award would be possible to achieve for members who play only HPS or BG or AGEOD. There would be one unique award for a club and one similar to a newly issued Prussian order. Also since there are NIR modules covering Russian army in most of the major campaigns tere would be campaign medals introduced which are partially based on real ones and partially (for Austerlitz for example) are a complete fiction. There would be a special decoration for successful trainers.[^]

Next thing to do would be to organise a kind of tourney (Divisional challenge III) so that our young members would be able to gain some experience and to make friends with their camarades and maybe opponents. It's much more simple in such a format.

Anyway we have a lot of plans and would be happy to receive help from our friends no matter the color of their uniform.[:I]

My compliments to you, Alex, one more time.
Good job!
If you'd add to the Officer Roll their regimental banners, it'll be the best in NWC.[^]

About the Russian army decreasing:
Gentlemen, my belief is: we have to play much more MP games together for our ranks consolidation, and the initiatives suppose to come from the divisional commanders.
Next point: many of our officers are disqualified to socialize with their club-mates cause of they don't write English fluently, as a result we lose connection with them, but they've become the club members for to be a part of a virtual community...[V]
We have to do something for them. We have The Coalition Arms forum.
Let's to open the Russian-language page there, and to invite those guys for the intercommunication.[8D]
We must be a real COMMUNITY of adherents.[:D]

Another forum is an idea, but it does seperate those members from the rest of the club. Perhaps a better idea would be for those members that do not post due to a language barrier, would be to have someone translate their posting. I realize that could be an imposition, but it would help to make everyone welcome.

There are members from many different countries and some might have difficulty with communicating, but doesn't having a seperate language forum keep that isolation going on?

I agree with Ernie on that one. I'm for integration not separation- even if it is self-imposed.

Hi Guys,

First up well done on a first rate job!
But with the discussion, is this not an invitation for a software guru to develop a program that types in your language but automatically translates into other languages at the same time?
Now thats good use of the micro chip!! Or am I being too Star Treky in my imagination [;)]

That is a magnificent website! Well done. It's good to see our Russian allies taking such a pride in their army[^]

Regarding the forum discussion. I don't have a problem with Russian members writing in Russian in the Coalition Arms. It's better to have discussions in Russian than no discussions going on at all, even if not everyone can join in. Once people frequent that forum they might join in the English language discussions too. There's room for us all in there, regardless of language issues. I don't mind a drop of vodka either[:)]

Mike - there are electronic translators, but they produce results that are erratic and sometimes bizarre. One of my Russian journalist opponents tried it and I received something very strange.
Anthony - indeed I have no problem with anyone writing in any language on this forum. I'm sure some kind soul would translate either way if the post was interesting, short and relevant. I have to say that a lot of what is said in this forum, in English, doesn't meet any of those 3 criteria. I'm sure that the non-English speakers have a lot to contribute to the club as a whole.

I'm glad, that my work had brought so much pleasures.

Also I want to write, that I had used icons,
which Vladimir Repnin had created.

And I had used information from Konstantin Koryakov (http://www.komikor.narod.ru/)
and Anton Kosyanenko.

Work is not finished.
