Recently in a waterloo game I have had a box "OK to exit without saving" You can click OK or cancel. If you click OK the game closes and opens back up at the beginning of your turn. If you click cancel nothing happens. This makes it so you cannot play a turn in stages. I often don't have time to play and entire turn in one sitting. How does this get switched on and how can I turn it off.

Monsieur General I have notice that other players do this,so that you can't go back over your moves which to me is,all you have to do is down load and some put that no save in games also!

The value can be changed (by me) for a campaign game (.cpf). If the game is a battle with encryption you are out of luck.

I never play with the setting. I figure if I cant trust my fellow club members then its not worth playing period.

Monsieur I think I had this once before why is the enc there then?People will look its not wrong to me to use it.It tacks the worry away I don't know ju and ju sure don't know me! Its not like a person to person thing to me the enc helps ju to get to know the other person now as I see it your way leads the door open for bad feelings if something should go wrong but thats only my view !

Unfortunately, it can't be switched off once it's on. I really hate this setting, because one player can switch it one without the other's assent. Moreover, it "infects" other games played on the same title. If you play two games of the same title in a row, and the first has this setting on, even though you don't have it selected in your game software, it carries over to the other game. Imagine this happening with a small (say tournament) game infecting a 500 turn monster. [V]

I really wish they would fix this so that it becomes a property of the file, not a game setting, and make it something that only occurs when both players agree.
