Hi all, A clip from the International Kriegsspiel Society appeared in my YouTube feed yesterday. It's worthwhile checking out in it's own rite, but is not the real purpose of this post. https://www.youtube.com/@IKS_kriegsspiel On their YouTube channel , they have a playlist for a series of videos created by one of their members entitled "Moltke Problem Series" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swGsd9J ... vDJ7DNIiQ9 This series summarises a number of tactical problems Field Marshal Moltke presented at the Prussian Army Staff College in the mid to late 1800's. For those who don't know, he was the chief of staff for the Prussian army for over 30 years starting in 1857, and is regarded as one of the greatest tactical genius of his time. I'm pretty sure we can all learn something to improve our game play from this series. |

Thanks for sharing! Moltke Tactical Problem 1 is exactly what Austrians face in Landshut scenario of 1809. Lookig forward to watch all of the episodes. |
