Preußische Armee Generalstaff Dispatches 2007
Armeeschreiber Prussian Armee General Dispatch Notes: Officers of Prussia, This is an informal dispatch just to cover a few items. The Armee Newsletter will come in a few weeks. The Prinz von Preußen Tourney is underway and looks to be a fun idea. Officers who are currently registered received an email from me today about it, of course there is always room for more. :) If you are interested or a new officer and want to get involved just drop me an email and we'll get you setup. The concept is officers start off with a division of men from a Prussian Province, and all troops and officers are F quality. Basic objectives are laid out. The officer who wins gets a quality boost and the vanquished officers men also. The last person will take on our GFM Stefan Reuter whom will control Brandenburg and the Garde. If they win they will carry the honor Prinz von Preußen (Prince of Prussia), this will be in addition to any royal titles they may currently hold. A map will be used to track progress. If the final round player looses, they will get a lesser title, and the vanquished officers will play for a lesser title too.
Muster: Muster was held in December, and a good response was given. I am still looking to hear from: Ian Hames, Martin Sabais, Michael Kneis, and Kirk Hutzel.
Retirements and Leaves: Arrangements can be made for a leave of absence, we are a very flexible group, we just need to know what's up. :) We had some key people take a break for a LOA, but have been kind enough to allow us to keep them in the mailings. People on LOA's: Steve Takacs, John O'Day, Bram Steijn. These officers have leave as long as they like and are always welcome back into the fold. I will create a separate LOA part of the Officer List, as they have been moved out of their units, but are not in the Landwehr.
Gemusterte Rekruten Please welcome Alan Hartwik and Logan Murrill to the ranks of the Armee.
2007 Generalstab's Plan: 2007 will be a new year and new ideas and goals for the Generalstab and the Armee. We had great growth in 2005-06, but almost all gains were lost for many reasons. As my personal live will take a drastic change soon, and I am unsure of my future, I plan on making the most of the present. The goal is to have more communication, it was a success in 2005, but a shortcoming in 2006. Hopefully more Armee Newsletters can get out. We also hope to see more folks get in more results. In case you don't read the forum, the French have slandered us as being a poor rated army. They quickly found out that our quality as an army in victories is the best in the entire club. :) Continued presence of Prussian officers on the forum is a must, and we have been good at that. Our Armee I feel is one of the best and as webmaster, it is my goal to make it better. So, in the coming months the Armee shall have: A new website design. New officer data, pulled from club records and personal ones. New library articles and maybe some interviews. Unit histories for units in our OOB. Medal changes and more medals to obtain. More maneuvers or tourney's with other forces. Royal titles will be altered so that now line officers can achieve titles. A new Prussian link and resources depository. Continuation of the Family Research Center. More communication, more FUN!! :) I know we can do this, and were gonna try. As always with anything, you are free to contact us at anytime. My door is always open, and I value input. Now let's go forward!! Thank you on behalf of the Command, Generalfeldmarschall Stefan Reuter - Oberbefehlshaber Prussian Armee General der Infanterie Scott Ludwig - Generalquartiermeister der Armee General der Infanterie Simone Tombesi - I.
