Opening Statments:

The Armee is doing well. We had a lot of growth this year and a lot of gameplay as well. We added a few more medals to the what people can be awarded and will be adding more soon. The expansion of royal titles, participation from many, including a lot of young recruits in MOE IV and all around general activity helped make it quite a successful year for the Armee.

(New Recruits)

I am proud to say we lead the Club in recruitment this year. New Officers to the Armee are Drexel Ringbloom, Jerry Butley, Thomas Whitfield, Steve Real, Mike Pursing, Mark Eason and George Cartiglia.

We also had quite a few old veterans come back including Rob Hamper, Sam Orlando, Ken Miller and Kirk Hutzel.

Departure of a Fine Officer:

Amongst those whom have retired this year, sadly right in time for the New Year we are loosing Oberstlieutnant Yann Graf Bosc Langeron von Kolberg. Yann came to us in 2005 from the Austrian Armee and has been an active member of the Club always answering the call each time there was a Tournament. He was winning in his MOEIV game as well. Yann has had a good event happen in his personal life and needs to step back. We wish him much luck and may he know he always has a home with Prussia!

Muster:

Muster was held once or twice this year and the results were very good.

Formation of Royal Service Regiment:

By Order of König Friedrich Wilhelm III the officers of Major Thomas Whitfield, Major Ken Miller, Premierlieutenant Jerry Butley, Premierlieutenant Drex Ringbloom, Premierlieutenant Mark Eason, Oberstlieutenant Yann Bosc Langeron, Premierlieutenant Zach Bouge and Premierlieutenant Steve Real have been decreed in Royal name to serve in the Volunteer Regiment of Haus von Hohenzollern Freiwilliges Jager zu Pferd for the purpose of the Master of Europe IV. May they serve with Honor and the Glory of Prussia and may Victory and Fame be shed down upon them.

Other News:

Oliver Kreuels has been accepted into the Garde-Grenadier-Korps and promoted to command of the Reserve-Kavallerie-I. Armeekorps.

We linked up our archival unit histories to some of the units in the Armee. Those that we have unit histories for can find a link underneath the picture of their unit in the OOB. This was a measure from the 2007 Generalstab's Plan.

Closing Notes:

The Armee is still strong with many junior officers showing great promise! I hope 2009 will be a great year for us! I did also want to mention that the Medals are undergoing another huge transformation. But like the one we did in 2004, all medals currently awarded will be kept by the recipients regardless of how the medals will be assigned criteria in he new system.

So keep on gaming and keep on havng fun!!
