I was thinking that why half of the world is not included in the NWC since the war of 1812 in America and the rebellion in the Iles were if not the most important part of this great era. What am asking is the induction of the America's into the NWC with the USA and Haiti. I want to be the commander of Haiti just as Spain and Sweden are now included. I also know that the USA and Haiti didn't have Armies on European soil but they were in the era sooner or later age of sail and the war of 1812 will be added and maybe one day the great rebellion of South America all brought on by the French Revolution. The club will grow because in Total-war games these countries are included. Growth is inclusion narrow minds will only see a Europe in flames but it was a major World war.

The USA was not anyone colony in 1812 as was Haiti which is not played in the CWC. One club more players longer life.

War of 1812 is not the only game played in the Colonial Campaigns Club:

http://www.wargame.ch/1776/index.html

It is the various Colonial Wars of North America: French & Indian War, War of 1812, 1776 and the Birth of America and Mexican American War. All of these games are based on either the Early American Wars series of HPS or the games of AGEOD that make sense.

It makes no sense for these games to be included in a Napoleonic based Club and there is no need for one Club to include the games of others and make the Clubs compete for members at the Wargame.ch Consortium. If we were independent Clubs of this larger Wargame.ch group, I would say yes, but we are not. These Clubs all benefit each other with their distinct styles & flavors.

Cliff the club is about the Napoleonic wars not all wars that took place at the same time.
Sure 1812 in America is important but only one of a number of conflicts going around and not Napoleonic

Two former clubs are now part of the NWC the civil war club and the INWC why not open the door for more . But what am trying to do is get Haiti into the fight and I would love to be that countries rep in this club. You might say that Haiti didn't field a standing army but it did send its sons as Labor Regt and the 11th Naples regt were real Africans!

Cliff,

Only one former Club is a part of the NWC, the iNWC, but we were primarily a Napoleonics based Club. Only years later did we expand into the other games. The Civil War club is still its own Club and always has been.

It would be nice to have all the armies of the Napoleonic wars here, the Poles, Saxons, Egypt et al, but we just don't have the staff to support them per say. I know you want to lead it, but there would be some leg work to do to include it and the Swedes, Spanish and Portugal was only included when I convinced the Cabinet it was a good idea. Plus they had major forces to build a structure. You can have a one regiment army.....

But you could try and appeal to have it included as a contingent in a larger army, like we did for the Spanish & Portugal.

Indeed both the Americans and British had African American units in them and as the leader of the British I would add one to our forces for you and I am sure the American CiC would too if you wanted that side.

Your advise is nice but if I wanted to join them I would. But I was thanking on the Napoleonic era I would put up a web site for the Army of Haiti and as it's only member what leg work is needed. I just don't want to lose ten years or more of battles to include a nation in the club. General Dumas was the most famous son of Haiti being a Revolutionary leader in the French Army. I would not bring the III Corps artillery with me because they do well by them selves and one day will be the Polish Legion.

And as Haiti I would fight not only French forces but also Allied which I do now anyway. I would get points as a Independent nation which would mean that a allied team and a French team could fight me and get points as well. Excuse is another way of saying no!

cliff,
nobody is making excuses, we are trying to welcome you to the colonial club. whether or not a haitian contingement would be allowed in the club is up to the cabinet. personally it wouldn't matter to me one way or the other. might i point out too, that the war of 1812 engine would be better for haitian scenarios or south american scenarios due to the company level scale and the inclusion of boats.
