My, my, haven't seen that much metal flying about since Borodino.

Congratulations Field Marshal Blackburn on your honorary appointment to the Guards, the title of Duke of Aberdeen; a place very fond to my heart and the multiple awards bestowed on you in recognition of your martial ability.

You will need to add an additional wing to your stately manor to accommodate all your decorations.

I salute you and for the next twenty minutes all drinks at the bar, within reason, will be accounted for by my purse.

:frenchsalute:

Congratulations Ed, Foot Guards eh? Well I suppose it takes all sorts. You do know it takes longer to get from tavern to tavern if you walk? And I won't mention the uniforms. But it's a dirty job and someone's got to form square etcetera etcetera. Ah well, I shall canter on ahead and get the drinks in, tally ho!
