In terms of museums and stuff like that, a lot has changed in the last 10 years or so. Some of my favorites & fun ones over the years are gone. The Wax Museum with the large anamatronic Pickett's Charge and other scenes is gone, the National Soldiers Orphan Homestead (Soldier's National Museum) ... |

Hey Gary, Sorry it has taken me a moment to reply. I have not stayed at any hotels etc in Gettysburg, but here's a mostly comprehensive list of the hotels/motels/historic places to stay in the immediate Gettysburg area: Closest to Pickett's Charge/the Angle area - Best Western Gettysburg (I also thi... |

So I knew I had photos of a riding group out on the bridle trail and I found them! The below shows the riding group past the Henry Spangler Farm and almost to the Emmitsburg Road and the area where I took the above photos. In these I am by Ashland/Woolfolk's (Virginia) Battery and were taken two day... |

This post refers to Gary Krenek's one on "Horseback tours at Gettysburg" ( http://www.wargame.ch/board/acwgc/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=21295 ) and was separated out so it didn't clutter up his post and could allow everyone to see more images. The majority of the photos were taken this March,... |

Sorry it has taken me a while to chime back in Gary. Below are two photos I happened to take on last Thursday (which was the last time anyone could go outside around here  8) ) but they are of the bridle trail itself as it crosses the Emmitsburg Road not far from the Klingel Farm. This is the... |

Buttons issue should be solved. Let me know if anyone still sees one missing. It should, hopefully, fix the overlay issues too DW. Let me know if it doesn't.
Notifications are still being worked one.

I don't have any recommendations for the horseback tour companies, as I don't ride unfortunately, but I'll stop by again tomorrow with some thoughts on hotels. I can tell you this the horseback rides do look fun and they have the corral along the Seminary Ridge area. They always look great when I se... |

To continue, better late than never I guess, for Second Day this photo is again taken in January. Taken 9 days after the photo above, we enjoyed a nice day at Gettysburg, this time with snow and a really nice sunset. It sets more along the Warfield Ridge, the open area in the distance, during the wi... |
