Over in the dimly-lit corner, a tired-looking officer wearing a grey tunic stares blankly. He seems to be thinking back to the time, only a few scant months ago, when the fortunes of war propelled him to the top spot in the Confederate army. He reminisces about how unprepared he was, despite his yea...

General Walter & all assembled officers: Excellent thoughts and input, all. I joined the club years ago. I wasn't one of the founding members, but I have been around. I've also belonged to many other organizations through the years. I expect what we're seeing is a natural progression: When a club (o...

Gentlemen, My congratulations to these fine officers, and especially to General Nelms. He and I have faced each other across several battlefields and have worked together now on Cabinet issues. He would have made an excellent Southern officer! [:)] Bottom's up! Your humble servant, Gen 'Dee Dubya' M...

Gentlemen, I joined the Stone's River battle at the beginning of the second day, as Cheatham. My division was divided, with two of my brigades having been detached the day before, and the remaining two brigades were on the wrong side of the river. Sure, most of the rest of my corps was with me and w...

Wow, did I time that right. My lovely wife just presented me with my copy of Franklin for a wedding anniversary gift. (How romantic -- she sure knows the way to a gamer's heart!). I installed the game, then the patches. I went into the optional rules to set them the way I like them and noticed a cou...

General Carroll, This problem was recently discovered. It has to do with an overabundance of Potassium on the disks. Somehow they leach Potassium from their owners [:D] ! Seriously, I'll have to defer to the more technically knowledgable. My only suggestion would be to try uninstalling and reinstall...

Lt. Healy, Thank you for the notice. General Carroll tracked down several members of the club by telephone after Hurricane Katrina hit, just to make sure they were okay. I think he was also instrumental in putting together a 'care package' for one of our members who was in the wake of the hurricane....
