A Happy Easter to all! Some professional advice: If you're going to use real eggs for an Easter egg hunt, make a map of where they're placed. There's nothing worse than finding the eggs again in two months time. The voice of experience.... Chuck Berdanier Col, 2/1/IX, AoO National Light Infantry |

Sir, Not disagreeing with you but following on to Col Gorgas' quote. The CSA fielded 677 arty pieces during the 13 months from 1 Oct 62 to 15 Nov 63. Of these, they manufactured 113 and imported a further 239. The remaining 325, had to have been battle damaged pieces, Union pieces that were made ser... |

Gen McClellan, I guess that it's important who holds the field at the end of the day. Certainly in the east, a large ammount of the military equipment used by the CSA was gleaned from the battlefield. This wasn't near as much of a concern for the Union, but most of the rebel formations had little lo... |

Hmmmm...... Exactly where does the CSA go to get these cannons? It's not as if they could nip down to the shops and buy a dozen howitzers. In the campaign in question, the CSA lost about 40 guns between the first two games. Considering these both took place at Iuka and Price only had about 50 to beg... |

Gentlemen, I'm currently playing a campaign where, despite anihilating a unit twice, it keeps reappearing. Approximately 13% of my losses reappear between scenarios. What gives? When a unit is completely destroyed should the stragglers and walking wounded reform around a brand new set of colors (twi... |

The one I heard was:
"Join the Navy and see the world"
it should continue to say:
"discover 60% of it is covered in water that all looks the same - unless you're in a submarine where you won't see even that much"
This from a 28 year veteran.

Sir, A courier, under a flag of truce, is on his way to your command hovel. Since you guys are probably starving, he's got some northern delicacies : waffles, scrapple, maple syrup and coffee. Please don't shoot him. Yes this IS food. Regards, Chuck Berdanier Col, 2/1/IX, AoO National Light Infantry |

Sir,
While I think your support of your boss is admirable, I'd stop the visits to his wife. In future you may have difficulties with the staff letting you leave.
Also, remember to wash your hands after handling the bull.

Gents,
I'm in Dayton (about 40 minutes north of Cincinnati) and it's sleeting on top of about 7-8 inches of new snow. What a mess. To compound things, my wife wants me to work on taxes!
What an awful day!

Sir,
I'd be willing to try a blind scenario. What are the procedures for requesting one? What game(s) can they be based on?

Gen Mallory, Electricity is overated. (...especially if you're looking at my monthly bill.) Most northerners can do without it. I believe it was BG Corse who was quoted as saying "Am short a cheekbone and one ear but can whip all hell yet!" in his signals (by semiphore - no need for electricity) to ... |
