I'm a veteran player of the Battleground games, so I'm incline to prefer the good old phases system. In my first battle at Crane Creek, I was blitzkrieged at the ford by two succeeding melees and I lost 3 or 4 guns. It reminded me of 1940, not 1862. I tried to adjust by establishing two defensive li...

Lt. Brown, you may miss the first scenarios of 1861 but there will be plenty others as they will be offered gradually. You can be sure that you will have the chance to participate. If you didn't have installed the custom scenarios from ACWCO and ACWCGDC, it could also be a good occasion to discover ...

I'm fighting my first campaign without the multi-phases turn. Well, I HATE IT ! [:(!] At Dunagin's Farm, I made a few moves... I clicked the fire button to shoot some yankees... I wanted to move this regiment to reinforce this adjacent regiment.... BANG BANG BANG!!! [:0] I shoot my own boys, Sacrebl...

The fighting will begin in one week, just a reminder to all officers interested to keep some place for a game on your card. Historical scenarios from Campaign Shiloh will be included ! Yesss ! [:p] The points for these battles will be determined when I receive my copy from HPS. As I have no idea on ...

For the few lucky ones who already have Campaign Shiloh, Can somebody give me the # of turns of the six historical scenarios ? Belmont, Fort Henry, Fort Donelson, New Madrid Bend, Mill Springs and Shiloh. These six scenarios will probably be added to the 1st Historical ACW tournament. Thank you. Fld...

Gentlemen, Don't you think that unbalanced campaigns or battles in terms of manpower can be interesting if the victory conditions compensate for this ? The superior side may have to capture tough objectives or destroy a good part of the enemy forces to claim victory. Fighting a desperate battle, bei...

I have played it, forget it.

Kids may like it, my nephew (14 yo) find it fun. But he prefer 1861:Take Command.

The best thing with this game is the $4.00 Battlegrond Bull Run offer.

I think that artillery should be affected like infantry. The sight of your panicked troops running for safety should affect everybody. Putting this rule as optional will aggravate the conflict between North and South officers, the Union having so many guns... An good idea could be to apply a "shaken...

Gentlemen, With the release of Campaign Shiloh, it is a good moment to make a little survey. I ask you these two questions: A. Which three Campaigns would you like to be released next ? B. Which three battles not available presently would you like to play ? (Try to use subliminal messages to influen...

Lt. Gen. Perrenod, Sir I'm not sure if I'm related to Napoléon Lajoie, but there is probably a link at the base of the genealogical tree. He was born in Rhode Island, so there is a very good chance that his family emigrated from Canada. I don't know if he was bilingual, if anybody find something ab...

For breastworks construction, I always tought that the size of the breastworks constructed is always to cover the entire hexside. If you assign 50 men to do the work, it should take longer than if you assign 500 men to fortify the hexside. In Campaign Corinth, the parameter data say Breastworks Cons...
