If the defender in a melee wins the melee do the units in the defending hex take a morale check ? Surely if the defending side wins the melee they are not then going to get on there toes and leg it. I read a post fairly recently commenting that melee was too easy in our games,i couldn`t agree more.C... |

You can find the downloads in the Mason Dixon archives posted on Sep 19th 2008.As a previous post mentions save them in the map folder of each HPS title.

Many thanks for your replies gents.In answer to an earlier point i do play using FOW.With regard to the morale indicating yellow,that would be my point,if i am adjacent to say three units in a stack with morale "C" one of which the morale shows yellow that would be the one i would target, knowing it... |

If you click on an opponents adjacent unit you are able to find such imformation as there quality,how fatigued they are and also if they are disrupted.Historically during a ACW battle would a general be able to view the battlefield and be aware of the enemy strengths and weaknesses to such a degree.... |

I have a couple of questions concerning the morale check.Here is a situation,stack A has 100 men,stack B contains 4 counters of say 100 men each.Stack B is in the defensive fire phase,stack A will receive 4 volleys.Will stack A have to take 4 morale checks or just 1 at the end of the defensive fire ... |

In one of my battles when firing at my opponent in both offensive and defensive fire it appears to be in fast forward.Particularly in defensive fire it becomes difficult to keep track of what is happening. Has anyone any experience of this or knows how to rectify? many thanks Col Andy Taylor 4/1/111... |
