Am I to assume that the center of mass is for all troops currently on the map and not just the side (USA or CSA) that you're playing.

What determines where the opening hex is located when you open a turn? It is not where the hex was last located by your opponent and it does not appear to be the central point of the map (it does change as the game goes on). Compliments of Gen Walter as is captured in the Link Express: MDF On plus ADF On: Game plays in four phases per turn, the AI conducts the Defensive Fire Phase for the non-phasing player. Two file exchanges per turn. Lt Gen Ned Simms XIX/AoS/USA Blood 'n Guts hisself, a land lovin' pirate. Show me so...

Okay, now that we've established that someone else is buying, I can partake in this affair. I had the distinct and unusual pleasure of following both of these fellows in command. I took command of VI Corps from Lt Gen Blackburn and it was in good shape. Recently I took command of XIX Corps from Lt G...

I was paid handsomely. I would swear that I've marched all of my troops off the map in a HPS Gettysburg campaign game (without a designated exit hex) and the game ended in a draw when my last unit for the battle departed, and there were VP hexes still available to be taken. The draw was because the ...

Its been a couple of years since I did this so it may not work anymore, but attach your zipped file to a Word document and send it. Used to, security couldn't detect the exe file with it buried that deep. Lt Gen Ned Simms XIX/AoS/USA Blood 'n Guts hisself, a land lovin' pirate. Show me some arty tub...

Very appropriate, very deserved, very unthinkable, very good strategy. This oughta make General Moose so jealous that he'll knock off Notso and eliminate one more Reb for us. Lets just hope that General Moose doesn't bring Lulu back to do it. Who said that General Laub wasn't a thinking man's Genera...

That's true, but is there a value in just capturing the standalone games? I would wonder what the ratio of campaign versus standalone games are up to this point. I would think that the bulk of HPS games have been from a campaign. I would also think that most of the scenarios that have been played ha...

I am so glad that you asked because that is a very handy stat to have. There were monthly reports done for the TS games but the HPS games have been a puzzle. We often don't know which scenario that we are playing because the game doesn't tell us. Even opening the game file with Notepad quite often s...

Slap, slap! Was I just slapped by the President? What do I look like - the Vice President? I think that I got a scratch and need medical aid. Where is that nurse that has all of the curves - you don't mean that General Laub is having another physical? As for General Mallory, we'll have to check with...

General Mallory, The elimination of the Army of the James does upset me. I thought that we should eliminate two Union armies if not more. It don't seem quite fair having more Union armies than Reb ones when one Yankee division can whip the snot out of a whole Reb army anyway. Lt Gen Ned Simms VI/AoS...

I'll try to just concentrate on the customer base part of this. Lets see if I can phrase this appropriately. I am not a casual player. I am a serious wargamer. I own all TS and HPS ACW titles and haven't owned any other ACW games from any other publisher for a long time. I do consider myself a 'game...

Rich, nobody that is a casual player plays HPS games. HPS games are complicated enough to require some love for it in order to make it past the first look. But exactly how much love does HPS require or to phrase it another way, how many sales is HPS missing by making the games so that one has to get...
