General McOmish, Suh! <salute> I apologize for the delay in responding to your dispatch, as your courier has just now reached me. I have been tasked with guarding our beautiful Virginia border in the vicinity of Mathias Point and Hooe's Ferry along the Potomac against the slithering, eely Northern n...

Gen. Meadows, Suh! If you're looking for a discussion, I'm sure I can find a couple of cents... It's my understanding that fatigue, in the game sense, has more to do with mental (or, battle) fatigue than actual physical tiredness. Still, the argument can be made that physical fatigue can be a contri...

Figures. The one you want is the one they don't make. :D Yeah, this one would be a LOT of fun. 1600 yanks from one direction, 1400 from the opposite... In the center, 800 good guys armed with pitchforks and scatter guns, and no military training. If there's anything we rebs love, it's a fair fight....

I've been poking around in the OOB files for a couple of the games and came across a "Z" unit designation. There is nothing I've been able to find about this type of unit in either the manuals or in the Engineering section of the website. I can only assume that this designates a Zouave uni...

Don't worry Col. my spy was in a reb camp the other night and overheard this coming from a Generals tent last night and there was no women in camp. As Lt. Colonel Campbell has been seen quite often slippin' away in and out of our camp, it might well be that this photograph was captured as he was le...

It appears that Colonel Campbell was surprised by the photographer whilst exiting the privy. Dare we think the Colonel spent the battle hiding there, playing with his kitty? Adorned in white, did he suppose he'd be camouflaged? I think not... It's just that his nighty doubles as a surrender flag. I ...

There is no such thing as a Confederate spy. All spies are Yankees.

Any Confederate engaged in such activities is simply a Patriot!

Not real time, but I've benn quite impressed with a game Kennon pushed several years back - Brother Against Brother - The Drawing of the Sword . Unfortunately, it never sold well for various reaons, mostly, I presume, because of the battles covered. Hence, developers never followed through with plan...

I actually have 3 monitors hooked up; not for this game, but primarily for photoshop. JTS games I primarily play on a 34" widescreen or on a 40" hdtv. I also have a old 21" 1920x1280 monitor. The TV is actually the cheapest of my "monitors"

I had most of this playset, too. Burnside bridge, the cannon, mortar, redoubt... and the soldiers, of course. I'd build a two-story house out of Lincoln logs and set the bluebellys to defending. As we (the Confederacy, of course 8) ) began to attack, I would roll out the South's secret weapon. I had...
