I didn't realise that "couldn't get away with half of what he did today" meant assassinations. I have no doubt that sort of thing goes on in modern times and is fully authorised by the U.S. President. The obvious one that came to mind for me was Fidel Castro ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... |

Hi Paul, Thanks for the welcome. Sorry I wrote the wrong title, the name of the miniature rule set of Sons of the Desert. It's my friends rule set and we played a scenario based on the Sahara Desert 1888. The rule set was completely lopsided as I was outnumbered 10 to 1 and outflanked. Thanks for t... |

Welcome. After growing up with miniature and board wargames I couldn't believe my eyes when I first bought Panzer General and began to play it. I stayed up all night playing it; I was a tired boy at work the next day. It is effectively still available as Panzer Corps (as you probably know as you men... |

I am currently having to rebuild my game library due to misplacing the flash drives I had my old install files on . Currently I only have Gettysburg and the "Forgotten Campaigns". I'm probably looking at getting a couple games every other month or so, so should be well stocked for variety... |

I also enjoy playing MP games and agree that they are fairly uncommon and would only comprise a small proportion of all games played. I suspect the reasons behind there being so few is that a number of things are desirable for a fun MP game, such as: Fast responders (files must be passed from player... |

" ... The idea came from a post in the WDS website from rsupplz that listed historical battles. This list was put into a spreadsheet by Rich Hamilton and posted on that site for download. This uses Rich's spreadsheet as a base. I manually reviewed every scenario description included with the W... |

Thanks for the responses. Actually my thinking is if you change the file name of a campaign game does leader losses ect carry over or does it confuse the game It seems that you are specifically asking about the campaigns in the games (which I should have guessed from the title of the post). My earl... |

LOL, now that I'm counter-attacking in some sectors they've decided to use the bayonet instead. Additionally, I seem to have a lot of ammunition at the moment after getting some from the enemy. |

I recently read in a miniature wargaming forum that some of Jackson's men ran out of ammunition at Second Manassas so they threw rocks at the advancing Union infantry rather than surrender their position. It seemed a bit fanciful, so I looked into it. Well, it's true ( https://babel.hathitrust.org/c... |

I change the file name every turn. The name is usually something simple so if you and I were playing (and you went first) it would be RCvsPS. However, I usually number all my turns such as: RCvsPS(1); RCvsPS(2) RCvsPS(3); etc. The opponent may return them with the original name but in the emails, an... |

Chancellorsville. A masterpiece. Outnumbered two to one, on the attack and a stunning victory.
A favourite Civil War personality of mine also played a significant role in that battle, Jedidiah Hotchkiss. He found the route that Jackson took to outflank the Union. |

It means that for that scenario each 100 men engaged in repairing a bridge the bridge will increase its value by 2 each turn. Bridge repair is not applicable in the majority of scenarios but if you are playing a scenario where it may be needed you should carefully read Section 5.7.2 of the User Manu... |

I think your suggestions would be useful from a game design perspective and broadly expand what scenarios could be developed as well as cover the numerous historical civil war actions that are not currently covered. If I understand it correctly, I'm not sure about #2 being wise. It could have the po... |
