[:D] 56 going on 19. I have two grandsons 14 and 13 who will sit down with BG Out of the Mist or something even smaller and they will move counters around for a while but ther attention wavers a bit and they easily flip to another program or to the T.V. or a book or.. well ya get the idea. I got the...

I was talking to a fuel tank driver the other day ( a full size tractor trailor). I figured the guy to be near retirement age so asked him what he intended to do at that time. " don`t figure to retire" he replied " I am only 83!!!"--- Its a new world!! HAPPY 79th!!! and keep on driven`[:)] Field Lt....

I want to advocate a couple of stand alone scenerios in the HPS Campaign system. I have tried 007 and Historical 1 in the Gettysburg system. Historical 1 is very similer to Battleground Gettysburg 13h but of course, using the HPS system. So far(some seven games) its GREAT!!! With all the interest of...

I have sent along General Dierk Walter`s proposal that maneuver and battle points be the same eccept for the win/loss differential.

I think Ned brings up a good point as to training games and I think anyone WANTING to count a game as a maneuver game should be able to do that just as two players from the same side that want to count their match as a BATTLE should be able to do so also. I dont even think we have records based on o...

Of course. I agree with Tom[:)] As to points, I have so little interest that I often dont even register the games I fight but others do indeed care and even a slight reduction is cause for them to seek out only the other camp( which of course, is the whole point of the matter). Anything that reduces...

[:)] A little controversey heh?( and please, just a little!!![:p]) Proposal: cancelation of maneuver points hencefroth ALL fight will be battles. Reason: Why cant we fight guys on our side for full points? It would double the number of possible opponents making it much easier to match up styles of p...

1. Units outside of Brigade command can only move one hex.
2. BCE
3. Arty. Disruption problem.

#1 really solves a lot of gamey play

As I read the other thread I thought I would NEVER use the shoot while moving mode as a lot a fellas thought it could be "gamed" and I do agree that in certain situations it certainly can and really good players might have a field day with it. However, all my oppononents seem to like it so I am curr...

All. While I wasn`t looking for a debate on House Rules many weighed in on not likeing them. I suspect they are used rather infrequently( not counting the "official" ones from the club). I too am not an offiendo of house rules but when I did use them I found they were easy to use once one got into t...

Bill Did a BCE game with Jon Thayer. We kept track of each Brigade and when the average hit 7 the Brigade was BCE`d and could no longer melee or advance into contact. The Brigade un bce`d when the average went back below 7. It worked quite well. Keeping track was bothersome at first but we both soon...
