Sorry to hear Roger has dropped out of sight again. [:(] Hope all is well with him. He was one of the first reb generals I had the pleasure of playing back when I was still a major. We played several games over the next couple years and I enjoyed them, he also gave me some help getting started with ...

Have read the first two books, friend of mine loaned them to me otherwise I probably wouldn't have. Have to agree with Don about them. First Stuart shows up at Gettysburg on the first day. Then Lee moves his whole army around Meade without him discovering it when he's sitting on the Roundtops. Meade...

Gary, Recently updated my graphics to a Radeon 128 MB AGP card for $99 with a $40 mail in rebate at Comp USA with the intention of picking up this game. My PC is just 18 months old but it only had 8 MB of onboard graphics. Suggest you keep your eyes open for similar deals if you're interested in upd...

For those of you unfamilar with this concept you can go to the website set up for the last game located at http://home.comcast.net/~krmiller8/srmp/ The new game will also use the Corinth 1.01 engine since this is the only one that a...

Gen Mullins, My apologies, I have not really fooled with the OOB's for Gettysburg or any of the others since the report came out you couldn't use any custom oobs. I thought they were using the oob names somewhere in the exe but it appears they are using some other kind of check since changing the un...

Gen Mullins, If you want to make your own units.bmp you need to know how the game points to the picture. Each line in the oob looks like this U 325 6 I R 96 11 19th Ind In this case 96 is the Unit picture, this points to the unit picture in the units.bmp file. The file is located in the Info folder ...

Plot/move games go back to the early pc days. I have several that were originally bought for the Atari 800XL computer (not the game system) in the late 80's along with some for my IBM XT. These included War In Russia and Kampfgruppe from SSI, the V for Victory series and several others. Many of thes...

Mike, In answer to your question about not expending ammo stupidly the fact is units rarely fired at their maximum range due to sighting limitations, smoke etc. Robert's system takes this into account by reducing the range to something more realistic. He has reduced the ranges of all weapons to the ...

Kennon, So far I haven't noticed too many more FA hits than normal. Robert has rewritten the fire table for the larger size units. You're still firing the same number of times and you still have the Battleground engine limit of 3 FA per player turn. It does seem to me I am running out of small arms ...

After several months away (believe he had gone back home for a visit) Gen Dancer and I were playing a Corinth Gettysburg Mod. Haven't heard from him since mid January though.

Received Robert's new system a couple weeks back, been fooling around with a solitare game of Shiloh, played about 12 turns so far. Played it pretty straight, only used my prior knowledge of the union positions and frozen units to send Breckenridge down the road to attack the union right, led by som...

Matt, Sorry I disagree, have played various minature and boardgame rules over the years. Most require some type of morale check when units pass through one another when retreating with modifiers for the retreating units condition. BG games had this feature with routing units often routing or disrupt...

Gen Adams and Gen Walter, Thanks for the prompt reply, I thought this had been brought up before but not having played Franklin and Ozark much I wasn't sure. Have played mostly Corinth 1.01 mods so I wasn't aware of the effect this change would have on the game. Guess I should have paid more attenti...
