| Mostly it is because the different games have been done by different teams, and there isn't full agreement between the teams as to how powerful guns and the like should be. | I have to disagree. I think that going to the Eck 1.01 engine would be a major step backwards. You would lose: Dismounted cav Breastworks You would "gain" inappropriate things like Square Charging Cav at 3x value You would have to do a major pdt shuffle to accomodate the fact that Column was a manuv... |

to be entirely honest, I wouldn't be bothered by this in the least, if they would just fix it that arty was immune to the disruption. Guns are too weak as is, and you get much routing ahead of you, and your guns are just worthless.

| I've not read deeply into any of his campaigns, but my gut feeling is that he was indeed incompetant, but only at a very certain (but vital) place. He was incompetant at working with other people. Also, remember that there are two kinds of bridges in Corinth, and they act very differently. Most of the bridges are small "hexside" bridges over creeks. They cannot be destroyed. A large "full hex" bridge can be meleed or bombarded.
