Now if the historical commanders were to come back and play these games, they would do what the engine allows. Its the engi...

Mark, I don't want to see any of the communiques, but if they are available then when problems arise concerned individuals could go look for themselves. It may use up all the engery they have about an issue, or they may find the answers to thier questions. I think full disclosure (except for cheatin...

Personally, I think the club ha become way to regulated. We should just dial back to a more less structed style, but since we are where we are ... All correspondence and voting records of the cabinet should be archived for public records. That is the best way to run an organization. It holds those i...

Frank Hunter put out a very good strategic ACW game. I know some of you have. I have forgotten the name.

Thank you Mark, a fair and reasoned response with enough information given to allow us to know the thinking of the cabinet.

"Historically small forces could hold off large forces in many cases, but in the games if you are outnumbered and attempting to fall back, you almost have to decide which units to sacrfice completely because in most cases they will be wiped out due to the engine / rules in place." Gentlemen, the ina...

"Total power corrupts totally." If Bill is right then we should shut down the forum. Maybe that would be too drastic, we should ask the cabinet first. If Bill is right then we need to 'privately and secretly' email our cabinet members for pre-approved messages that can be posted on the forum. The cl...

Don, In a perfect world people who enjoy a hobby would be allowed to be a member of a club supporting that hobby. Of course it's not a perfect world, and for those individuals whose hobbies are Governing, Ruling, and Exercising Power there isn't room to allow freedom for people to enjoy the club out...

Alan, IF JT were to introduce the Nap style skirmisher to his ACW engine my guess would be he would set it up the same way. Therefore, units would not be able to be limited in the fashion you're describing. It would be my guess that, if he did it, he would have the ability to skirmish governed by an...
