Great idea! Brice's Crossroads would be a good sample to work with. Under which current HPS game should it be built? Atlanta, Vicksburg, Chickamauga, or Franklin? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Brice%27s_Crossroads Date:June 10, 1864 Location:Near Baldwyn, Mississippi Commanders and leaders...

Steve, these can also be done with the approval of JTS. We first need to see what demand or request there are and present it to JTS. If we help JTS develop projects I would imagine that things would move a lot faster. As the JTS team is focusing on other products and can't afford the manpower to the...

Hi Steve,

Currently I have no trouble creating maps for the games (Matrix, HPS or JTS). I'm able to create or convert the maps across the platforms.

Only real stickler here is the time to create a new map. That can be an intense project; but doable.

10,000 men in a hex (roughly a division). Works great on a grand scale scenario and if the map covers the whole eastern US. Why not? I'm sure the .pdt and game engine could handle it. The firing range would be limit to 1 hex for all weapons I guess. :)

After reviewing all of the different scenarios and the current Campaign series, what would still be needed or desired? As we have the ability to create our own maps, scenarios, .oob, .pdt and graphics files what would still be needed or desired to complete the CWB series? As a pool of enthusiast I t...

Steve/Robert/John, Is the intent here just to customize our own scenarios with the .pdt file and the scenario for personal play or is the intent to fix something that isn't working correctly? As we all have the ability to modify the .pdt file and tweak the scenarios ourselves, with the scenario edit...

BG Ross McDaniel, VERY interesting. Thank you for the post. While reviewing the Rebel yell clip I was sent to another very interesting documentary of Gettysburg. This one is also worth seeing.... Officers <salute>, I think a very simple fix here is to add the ammo to each unit into the OOB file. This would make the ammo levels specific to each unit as they conduct battle. Good example of the flaws of the current design is that I captured a Rebel artillery which was out of ammo but I immediat...

I think you just need to update you graphic's drivers.

Had same problem but went away with the driver update.

Scott, I would agree. The Club isn't broken we are just looking at improving it and making it more desirable to all potential members. The current HPS/JTS software versions are good but with no means of improvement. We either need to looking at the "Open Source" version to get the improvem...

How about adding the Sid Meyer's Gettysburg and Antietam? Those are RTS games that play pretty easy h2h on-line. An hour battle between members seems totally doable. Another possibility would be the Scourge of War series. Those would allow players to go h2h with a live strategy game vs the current t...

I would like to see ammo as a number in the OOB file so units use and run out based on the individual unit supply and not a random percentage. I would also like to add engineering units to create or repair rail lines. I would also like the ability to create a low level water unit and a naval or sea ...

Ken, I think we're on to something here. I've been tweaking scenario development for some time now and created a full game to run a custom scenario. I'm still working on a grand scenario covering the full CW on a division level. With the .pdt open for editing and many aspect of the game open we can ...
