What does it mean when a leader's command rating has two entries - one in parentheses (e.g. D (E))?
What is a command rank letter? |

I play with all sound turned off. I'm an old man and if the sound of cannon or gunfire didn't scare me to death then my wife would finish the job. |

"Whether the guns are in sections or batteries is irrelevant." Our difference could be the options that we play with. Maybe you don't play with automated defensive fire. I do and I'll charge or cross the field of fire of 6 one gun batteries/sections any time but I am less likely to do so i... |

I can't contribute to the main question because I don't know historically how they were utilized. But to the purpose behind the historical question, I am just the opposite as I consider artillery broken into sections as a disadvantage. For one, sections do not normally produce as good defensive fire... |

Congratulations, Gen Treuting. Is this the first time in the history of the club that someone has skipped the ranks of Major General and Lieutenant General? I can't remember any others but then again I can't remember what I ate an hour ago. |

For those Rebs that are not familiar with the Confederate Full Dress Uniform, it is the normal field uniform with the addition of a patch to hide the rip in the seat of your britches. |

Gen McEntegart, give me a holler whenever you get ready to play. I'll play if at all possible. |

We aren't supposed to play you until you graduate from VMI (excuse me, I'm color blind, and this should have read UMA), so let me know when that occurs. It would be best to choose a battle instead of a campaign for the first match. |

I much prefer the Crossing the James scenario. It is a very fun scenario if you like large battles with numerous strategic options, a large number of troops (the ANV still has Early's corps available for this one), and nail biting situations. It is, in my opinion, more difficult for the Rebs to win ... |

I prefer the larger battles and will play a campaign. Options must be everything on except for MDF, EFOW, and Arty Capture, and no house rules other than the battlefield conduct codes contained in section 5.1 of the club rules. I will play either side (as the Union or Confederate commander). Battle ... |

Checked my Gettysburg Campaign turn and all options were still loaded correctly. My opponent is playing campaigns at Ozark and Vicksburg that are proceeding without any problems and losses are carrying forward. |

We have had no other quirks in the Gettysburg campaign other than losses not being carried forward. When I recieve the turn back, I will double check the options (which I habitually do at the beginning of each game and probably did this time as well). But there is one quirk in that my opponent is ou... |
