It has been a number of years since I wrote install scripts for PCs, but that sounds like the problem here. Lynn states that Gettysburg was missing scenarios initially, but in my case it was OK. To me this says that the update file is correct -- assuming it is a discrete entity --, but the coding of... |

I downloaded and installed the 4.01 updates. A couple of the titles which I own (Atlanta and Corinth) are missing scenarios, and the scenarios which are displaying as available are giving MAP errors when attempting to load. I also updated Gettysburg, Overland and Petersburg. The latter appear to be ... |

In line with what Ken Miller has posted, I have encountered situations where the replay I view is from a different game -- my opponent apparently has more than one going. The .BTE subsequently opens to the correct game, which is also the situation if I skip the replay. Do not know the sequence of ev... |

Well deserved, Ken! And also a <salute> for your work on the documentation for the Civil War series! |

Brent Nosworthy in his book "The Bloody Crucible of Courage" spends a certain number of pages discussing fortifications in both Eastern and Western theaters. In a chapter titled The Appearance of Hasty Entrenchments he states: "With the exception of a few days in front of Yorktown and... |

The Tiller system -- all genres -- has more invested in this question than any individual. I can wait for any information from them. I could take one for the ACWGC and download to my laptop, leaving my desktop at Windows 10. Nah, I don't think so. |

Twice in the 20+ years I have played these games, I have had officers simply disappear from the board. It is an obvious, obscure program bug which would probably be difficult to find even if someone were looking, which I'm sure they are not. The first time was a Gettysburg battle in which Reynolds a... |

One book I failed to mention is quite different from the rest: Brent Nosworthy's The Bloody Crucible of Courage . It is a compilation as it states of Fighting Methods and Combat Experience of the Civil War . It is not concerned with individual battles or campaigns, but rather the origin of tactics, ... |

As a history of the Civil War, Shelby Foote's trilogy stands alone. His background as a fiction writer lends the readability to his volumes. For writing style combined with historical research on individual battles or campaigns, my preference is Stephen Sears, plagiarized or not. I have all of his b... |

SCENARIO AVAILABLE. It will be sent as an email attachment. There is no existing repository from which to download. You must own both Campaign Overland and Campaign Gettysburg, because it combines elements from both. Although its most likely use will be in a multi-player format, if you like 100K+ ar... |

Another question: Although certainly able to take them under fire, why should units be able to exert a ZOC into hexes to which they cannot move, such as across a creek hex side. Not a major issue, but this seems inconsistent. |

Gentlemen: I appreciate Dave's effort to project this possible project. He has indicated to me that Struggle for Control was a good MP game, although I have never participated in this particular scenario. My focus during my 2 decade tenure in the ACWGC has been towards using the PDT to improve Turn-... |
