When you find out what version he has, let me know as I'm curious. As for the arty, the different versions may be the difference, but keep in mind that Gettysburg uses sectionalized arty and Franklin uses full battery units, so there will be a greater difference in loses. Arty should be a fearful we... |

Sir, You both MUST be using the same patch. The Current patch is v.1.04. This version fixes the campaign tree and also adjusts the arty, especially the 3" rifles. Rich BTW, if you download the latest patch and still think the arty is too strong, just cut a paste the original pdt file from the CD, or... |

Guys,
That problem was identified a long time ago and corrected with version 1.02. So unless the newest v1.04 uncorrected it, you need to get the latest patch.

Al,
Yes, I believe Doug already indicated that he would be willing to do it, providing it's nothing weird!
Rich
P.S. I open minded with Franklin. |

Al,
Just a quick suggestion. Until John is willing to comply with your request, you might contact Doug and send him your OOB. He then can include it with the next patch. |

All are pretty good, but I was a bit surprised with Gettysburg. It only has two tracks with no lyrics, just music. I like to hear the music when playing. And though I'm probably considered biased, I like Franklin's best!

Now because HPS is not confined as were the Battleground games, all maps with new games will most likely have North Up. At least my next two games will be North-up. The Franklin maps were done 5 years ago with the Battleground mentality. And since they can't be rotated, we just have to live with it.... |

In general, the policy of HPS is that, until something is released to the general public, we don't talk about it. At least not in specific terms. But as I said before, your comments are noted and considered.

Just so everyone knows, your comments are noted and taken into consideration. In fact, all the designers have formed an internal committee to determine what changes would be most worthwhile. John has agreed to certain changes and they should be ready by early summer(of course, I should never mention... |
