Jim, I've just been reading Stephen W. Sears book on Chancellorsville, and he says that was the situation. The supplies were available, but they just didn't have the means to transport them, the 56 miles of track between Richmond and Hamilton's Crossing lacked adequate siding so they could only run ... |

I have to admit this is what I find so pathetic and laughable about US Goverment institutions and their high handed attitudes regarding the "man in the street" as we say over here, on the other hand I notice that "West Point Military Academy" is not on the list mentioned earlier. Hi Rich, Well as a Reb who tried it and lost I don't recommend it. In my current Shiloh campaign I withdrew to a line between the creeks thinking it would be a solid position, outnumbered something like 3:2 I thought I could hold out for the relatively few turns that would be left by the time my opp... |

44 years old. I was never into the board games, miniatures were my thing I used to have hundreds of them and then the kids came along and away they went. I collect books on military history now, have about 700 in total.
