Would any Yankee officers be up for a full campaign of either Gettysburg or Vicksburg? Interested parties can send a courier under flag of truce.

Lt,
depending on the map youre playing on (Antietam?) the tree heights can vary. In the BG games they were 30ft high (and i think 50 ft in Chickamauga)

Ken, thats correct, that same campaign. that was a long time ago, although i recall that campaign to be good one; we had so many troops and so many opportunities to really do so many things at the same time (a'la Grant in 1864, but earlier) I was the ranking US officer in that campaign and had a bal...

Sir, I am indeed the same officer, after a lengthy (too long I think) absence from the club, I've returned! (albeit in this somewhat tattered and dusty butternut uniform) Its good to see that old page again! I recall at least some of those names, and some of those names are still kickin around these...

Does anyone remember a proto-campaign run in the club around the year 2000 or so? This was well before anyone had the HPS Campaign civil war games (I think 1812 and French and Indian ones were out though). I cannot remember the name of the officer who ran the campaign, though I remember he played bo...

Anyone know of any web sites that have any kind of order of battle for French units in the 1860's?

Dont know if its been suggested before, but how about a toggle option to have troops in the open be able to "lie down" to lessen their vulnerability to artillery fire. I've seen countless incidences of this in Civil War accounts. Of course they'd suffer badly if melee'd but it'd only cost 1 mp to mo...

Working on a hypothetical OOB package for the TS Games? I have wanted to make a massive OOB package (including Unit pictures, leader pictures, etc) for a hypothetical war between the US and Britain/France intervention forces during the Civil War. I made a massive OOB years back that would serve for ...

Im ecstatic over these games. Granted I just got Gettysburg and Vicksburg, and have only recently started playing them but so far I am really enjoying myself. Sure, out of the box the graphics dont look quite as pretty as the old BG maps/units etc, but what amazing control over the larger actions th...

I pretty much will ONLY playing these games for the time being, although as my collection of HPS campaign games starts increasing that will inevitably change. The Talonsoft games are fantastic, and even with all their shortcomings still define this genre for me. With that said, sir, if you should de...

Gettysburg, as far as i know, never had music. I had bought the original version (you know, the black background and crossed flags) when it came out, then got the others as they were released. I remember i played Ken Burns Civil War CD in my player after loading up BGG. That was my music. Whippersna...

Am i merely using an unpatched version, that needs correction, or are my strategic choices affecting later actions strangely? I am playing Campaign Gettysburg for the first time and am wondering about reinforcements that are supposed to show, but do not. I originally started a game vs the AI and not...
