If that happens again, immediately make a ZIP file of your Logs folder, then post it here. |

On vacation in North Carolina last week, we visited our son & family, whose home is 1/2 mile away from the tidal estuary just behind Topsail Island, i.e., only a couple of miles away from the ocean shore, and right within Hurricane Florence's projected landfall bulls-eye. Potentially devastating... |

The code sets those defaults. The code has not changed recently, at least not on my watch. But keep in mind that what is specified in the .scn files can override the code defaults. Here, selected at random, is how several .scn files in the CWB series specify the _point_* values: rober@B10Trto /cygdr... |

It seems as if the victory point values assigned for units successfully removed from the map through an exit hex are based upon percentages of unit strength according to the various types... Infantry - 40% of strength. Cavalry - 80% of strength. Artillery - Not yet discovered. Leaders - no points a... |

For sure. We did not introduce a system that would break the many hundreds of pre-existing scenarios across all games. The new system is totally backward compatible. |

What the hey. Here -- from the (private) CWB Dev Forum (at WDS) -- is the initial write-up for the victory/objectives system as it applies to CWB. Note that any mention of "FOW not implemented yet" is no longer accurate. Subsequent to this write-up, I did implement FOW. In the new objectiv... |

Feature, not a bug, WAD. As you say, the Union gets points for capturing the hexes, while the Confederates get zero points. Under the Extreme Fog of War optional rule , the Confederates will not know how valuable the objective hexes are for Union victory. Fog of war, right? This is a feature, among ... |

Would somebody please post here a save file just at the point where units might rout and do these things? Best of all if you could fashion a Petersburg situation, as that game (and several others) are now under active development. No need for this. I will simply create one or more test scenarios wi... |

I agree that routing deserves to be looked at more closely, and probably some changes made. |

I didn't know a unit can rout, escape though the charging units of a melee and while fleeing behind enemy lines capture enemy officers. Are they also able to capture supply wagons while routing? So must remember to always have body guards with officers. I am not certain; only a step-by-step run thr... |

When this happens, you might try toggling Settings > On Map Results as a temporary palliative. |

"Isn't it time"? Unfortunately, no. No new features until we have updated all past games to current standards. This is to expedite the update process. After all of the updates are out, we will then begin to consider adding new features. Note that "updated all past games to current sta... |

In Campaign Petersburg and all future updates for other games in the series, you toggle labels on/off by means of the ` (reverse single quote) hot key. There are also a toolbar icon and menu option for that (with the hot key clearly indicated). No more of having to remember the obscure Alt+Shift key... |

It just so happens that I am now working on a new feature for Panzer Battles that, as a side effect, might have positive implications for the AI. If all goes well, I should be able to apply this, in the near term , to Campaign Petersburg (i.e., available in the inevitable 1.01 patch) and the other u... |

From one toolbar now to 2+3. That's as far as the toolbar development will go. Although we might tweak things like button placements and colors, user customizable toolbars? No, most likely never going to happen. The limited time we have for CWB will be devoted in future less to UI revisions, more to... |
