I take it back. Although I can't see any mention of the 'fix' in the Changelog, it appears the campaigns are now carrying over losses. I tested it using Jackson's Valley Campaign, 1862 in Campaign Shenandoah against the AI. I made notes on the men remaining in the Stonewall Brigade to see what happ...

I regret to advise that the 'carry-over' does not occur in any of the campaigns. They are supposed to; the campaigns were a significant part of the games, that is why each title is named Campaign 'this or that'. I asked JTS in late 2020 about gun captures and loss carryover in campaigns, I was advis...

Ahh, but it gets more complex. In Gods and Generals Robert Duvall was Lee. Stephen Lang was Pickett in Gettysburg but Jackson in Gods and Generals [G&G]. [Billy Campbell was Pickett in G&G.] Longstreet is played by different actors as well as a number of others. Jeff Daniels plays Chamberlai...

I would be interested in playing in a Confederate team as the CSA.

I have played this battle (although it was Scenario 08a) once before. It is massive so any players must be committed to a fast turnaround or we'll never get it finished.

Separate email being posted.

As regards the comment "The main catalyst appears to be a dispute over artillery hex limits" that matter is easily resolved. Rule 6.2.1 is quite clear, opponents can agree to introduce any house rules they see fit to introduce. If they don't agree there is no requirement that they play tha...

Meeting Engagement = neither side is the attacker of defender. Opposing forces will usually enter from opposing sides of the map and be looking to secure Objectives that are often near the middle.

I've been 'not thinking' about this for a while hoping the answer may come to me. I then thought that perhaps the Leadership Values needed to be given a 'Spread' multiplier but that didn't work either. I still got different answers. I did unearth further mysteries that seem to indicate that the calc...

These things happen. Most new members to the Club don't win their training battle. It's mostly used to give people some familiarity with the PBEM for the games and to demonstrate how different it is playing against a human opponent compared with the AI. More fun against a real person but certainly n...

I asked Rich about this a year or two ago. Doug Strickler was working on it when he passed and it was unfinished. The map is large but it is missing lots of terrain features and has large unfinished areas. I don't think it's usable as a whole. WDS has no plans to finish the map as of now. How do I ...

The only "master map" I can find is 'Latest Master Map.map' which is a very large map of blank hexes.

What is the name of the map you're referring to, and is there any special trick to opening it?

So, if you incorporate the recent change from v4.03 that says "Reduced the victory point multiplier for killed leaders to * 1.25 and for captured leaders to * 1.5" you get the following calculation: [Leader Command Value + Leader Leadership Value] X Command Level factor X (1.25 if killed, ...

Pohnpei - interesting. "A friendly and enchanting island awaits" your arrival ( https://visitpohnpei.travel/ ). The CSS Shenandoah's action there was against some whalers in April 1865. It occurred after it had visited Australia ( https://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-01-25/australias-link-to-a...

Any Union officer who is tired of "House Rules", I'll play as a Reb against you! I'm not tired of house rules and am not a Union officer but if you'll accept a Confederate opponent - Challenge accepted. Let's play historical Shiloh (Shiloh 144) WDS v4.04.1. Optional Rules are somewhat neg...
