The point values are based upon the subjective decision of the scenario designer, which is going to be true in any of HPS's series. For the sake of argument, as the expense of units currently fielded has already been paid we're saying the expense of replacing them justifies the point values. Should ... |

If it is a cpf file it can't be encrypted, though. |

Love the photos, Blake ... although I do have to say that the 2nd to last one does sort of make you look about a foot and a half tall . . . (speaking of perspective) ... |

Dwight: go in to the scenario editor (you have to do this if it isn't used in a scenario). cwedit.exe Close off all of the boxes that pop up or select any scenario (it won't matter- as you have to eventually tell the program that you want to start designing a new scenario.). After you do that ... go... |

Limiting myself to the the scope of HPS ... part of this involves how engine changes get incorporated into HPS titles. (Other projects are outside the scope of my reply). I don't know what they have planned in that area, however I will note that there are Tiller games in other series that do use a r... |

While I will defer to others for the specific answer, I am of the opinion that without any form of loss recovery would make it extremely difficult, if not impossible to make a scenario that works. Of course that is just my opinion based upon the current engine iteration and could change in the futur... |

I may get my series crossed up. . . but, here goes. If arty capture isn't checked what happens is that the guns just get taken off the map when captured. So in order to ever capture guns, the option has to be checked - and it works the same way as taking them in melee; you can change facing and fire... |

I don't know that there is really that fine of a line when it comes to determining what are considered proprietary files; as far as I am concerned for scenario editing purposes, it ends with anything that HPS considers locked. Edited: I'd been asked for clarification. This is the definition as I und... |

[B)]I was going to go the "transposed numbers" route- but did a search on the PC titles- and there are some titles listed by this guy for over a hundred bucks (like a Sims 2 add on ...). Well all I can say is - best of luck .... too funny. Col Stephen Trauth 3/XV/AotT http://acwgc.hist-sdc.com/image... |

What Hank is talking about sounds fairly close to the mechanism in the Panzer Campaigns/Modern Campaigns/ First World War Campaigns series - where it does pretty much how he explained. What Patrick mentioned also is how those other series use fatigue as well as morale - so programming-wise, the code... |

I agree with Gary- I don't think HPS is claiming that losses in their games = to literal casualties, but rather out of combat which would, of course, include casualties of all sorts, as well as stragglers and combat ineffectives. That being said, too, it needs to be kept in mind that how a scenario ... |

I'm weighing modifying a pdt file from one of the games to change the vp values - or just the vp values for the artillery to 0. Where taking out opposing artillery should be a big enough goal without needing to also assign points to it. It might work better, though in a campaign game setting. Col St... |

It turned out to be an incorrect estimation -but I did a few Mexican-American War planning maps (I figured they might be a little smaller and something I could whip out -but was wrong -still did some anyways). I don't have a page for them as of yet. http://hist-sdc.com/downloads/eaw/maps/maw/pm_agua... |
