I'm seeking a veteran Reb player---one I have not played before---to be an opponent in a campaign from the new Chickamauga disk. I require playing in phases (move/def fire/offn fire/melee, etc). I require that "On Map Results" in the 'Settings' menu be turned off . . . Optional Rules may be n... |

When she sees the mail and asks you "What the heck is this?", just tell her it's the last part of the order you made a couple months ago. It was on backorder, get it?

I used to think that this gaming interfered with my reading time . . . But my wife convinced me I was wrong: it interferes with my whole life.

I have read several hundred books on various aspects and campaigns of the Civil War . . . and for the last couple of years, when anyone asks me what my favorite battle book is, I still answer "Conquering the Valley; Stonewall Jackson at Port Republic" by Krick. It has that indefinable something that... |

Does the disk contain a monster scenario to go with the monster map? You know, like the Peninsula disk had the complete 400-turn mega scenario on that monster map? It'd be a shame to have a hundred-mile map without a scenario worthy of its size!! Sincerely, Brig Gen Dwight McBride 1st Brigade ("The ... |

I just ordered mine at the NWS site for $32.99.
As a lover of "monster" maps, I can't wait to see the "hundred-miler"!!

I also am a little dissappointed. Because of the historical blundering on the Rebel part, a dearth of "what-if" scenarios to compensate is questionable at best. As a result, not a fun disk for the South. Sincerely, Brig Gen Dwight McBride 1st Brigade ("The Regulars") 2nd Division/V Corps/AOP/USA |

By far, for me the most un-realistic thing to deal with in these games is the lack of a dynamic line-of-sight. It would add immeasurably to the realism of the gaming experience were it present.
