Oh, I've lost more than I won, general "yankee thrasher", I'll admit that. But I'm not exactly that simple to run off the field either. I've found that Rebs bleed really well [}:)] Especially at full 2BR (hint) <blockquote id="quote"><font size="3" face="book antiqua" id="quote">quote:<hr height="1"...

*sigh* Just got it in, and now I find out that my computer doesn't have the graphics for this... not sure it's worth $100+ to mess with... though may need it for Empires in Arms anyway

I think that "putting together a committee" may end up being counterproductive. While well thought out ideas and concepts will influence John more heavily than random schemes, I'm also afraid that it will get people's hopes up more than may be warrented. There is no guarantee that John would accept ...

Your best hope is to convince one of the people who has worked closely with John on these titles (i.e. Drew or Rich), and let them champion the issues with John. No guarantees then, but it's better than nothing.

The games are real time. They can't be PBEMed, but they are more than suitable for playing online. A typical game will take 60-90 minutes, with occasional bigger games. If you ever played the original Age of Sail, then it's a considerably refined version of that system (though you don't manually fir...

Fully agreed on the disrupt thing. Maybe that's the real answer there, that you radically raise the possibility of guns causing D status when they are firing at canister range. It's not so much the lack of bloodshed that makes guns vunerable, it's the ability of the attackers to "press the charge ho...

Seems that whatever hit the XXIII Corps HQ must be spreading...

I've been sick as well. I'm getting better, but still well behind on turns. I'll be caught up in a day or two.

Hm, the branching in the campaign file is pretty complex, but by the looks of things, I'd say that ending after 3-4 battles looks to be pretty common. There may be a way to get it to go longer, but I can't see it right now. BTW, look at it in the campaign editor, lots there to learn from [:D] Col. G...

It depends on the game you are playing. I'm most familiar with the branching in Ozark, but if one side or the other has won the early battles heavily enough, it will kick to a terminal condition. For instance, if the Union picks up a major win at McDowell in Ozark, that's it... I guess the rule of t...
