Gen Lichtenberg,

I am an admirer of your optional rules. If you are looking for another opponent in the near future, please let me know. I am finishing up a couple games presently.

Huzzah,

Hello, I've noticed in HPS Atlanta that there isn't a scenario that I can find that includes all units available in the OOB. Has anyone seen one or created one? Additionally, in most of the scenarios, various Union and Confederate units and leaders are missing, causing some units to be permanently d...

Just downloaded HPS Atlanta and looking for a Yankee opponent for a small to medium length scenario. Never played this HPS version yet - played most of the others however. Thinking maybe Kennesaw or Chattahoochie scenarios. We can discuss optional rules - I like most of them! Please email me at just...

I always contend too that Lee could have doubled back from Pennsylvania and threatened Washington. While Lee didn't know where JEB Stuart was, the Union Army didn't know where Lee was either! Early's division nearly got cut off from the rest of the ANV in their expedition to York and Wrightsville (t...

Highly recommend Gettysburg: The Last Invasion by Allen C. Guelzo.

He goes pretty in depth about the actual battle movement of each of the brigades, along with some individual soldier accounts. May end up reading it again. Let me know what else you guys think of it!

I heard his interview on CWTR as well. Not sure if I bought his argument that Lee was able to gain supplies and materiel and therefore "won" the Gettysburg campaign. My thought is that Lee should have invaded Pennsylvania, created havoc, but avoided any engagement beyond the Cumberland Val...
