Rich H. I understand about the far reaching of this club and others, but it seems that since that is the case, it might be good to move the events around. I also understand about the local help, but since we as a club do reach so far, it might be plausable to have help in many areas if asked and spe...

I would say Murfreesboro, TN. It is a small town, yet it sits on a major Interstate, and is close by a batle site in town, and a couple down the way.

It seems as though all these and any ACWGC get togathers are always back east, what is the chance of something being held towards the center? I live here in TN. and there are plenty of Civil War sites and most are not that far from each other. I am sure there are alot that would be able to get togat...

Then I think a campaign Chickamauga woudl be nice, alot of what if's in that one, like what...

For the South, I think Gordan (commanded II Corps AnV at the end)

For the North I think Upton, interesting fighting concepts.

Forrest being Jr. would not have bothered Davis, but Forrests attitude did. Look how Davis had promoted many officers Jr. to some over their heads. Hood is a good example, Pemperton, I mean Daivs lost the War for the South more than anyone or anything in my opinion. Hill would have been a disaster, ...

Actually I think Davis would have put Bragg in Lee's place in the end, if Lee had gotten wounded. Davis had a blind spot when it came to his favorites. Bragg and Pemperton are good examples. LT. GEN.
