A 3 on 3 MP game with melee phase. A basic play for fun without additional overbearing house rules. A good Union team is a must and I will be part of that as a secondary leader.
Send you couriers to my tent. |

Once that is done perhaps you can look at the other Club websites such as the main ACWGC page. |

The artillery capture rule was a good idea bu poorly implemented for the reasons suggested. As well if the guns happens to be on a road you are moving you Corps thru the guns are re-captured every time a unit enters the hex, makes for a long Corps movement I tell you. It should either be removed or ... |

I don't quite understand the subject of this post. The month of May of this year will be the 15th anniversary of the club. How many of you know of any other wargame clubs that have been around in their original form for longer? Fail is not part of the vocabulary of this club. I was told it would fai... |

Tony I understand where you are coming from, as you are a long time member, but there is a big picture agenda here. IMHO The reason for the creation of this rule was to promote/encourage playing against the other side rather than your own. When you join you have, hopefully, a lot of contact with mem... |

I have played a couple and they are interesting because of their scope and maps used however the balance is questionable in general. Probably not play tested a lot. I would give them a try but look over the situation closely. The reinforcement schedule is iffy some times. I have added a scenario for... |

I have started playing these. There are so many that it is one every several months so it is slow going. My experience has shown that balance can be greatly skewed by the opponents skill level. What I suggest is that you look them over carefully evaluating the situation and reinforcements arrivals. ... |

The guns using canister are very effective but alone they will be overrun. I like putting the 9 and 13 range guns up front with the others behind can as close as possible to maximize the canister shots. You need to make sure you have surviable stacks about 600 plus 2 to 4 guns. Very difficult to bre... |

I was wondering if anyone knows off-hand whether the top most unit is the one that fires defensively?
Is there and advantage of having an Artillery unit, a specific one, as the top unit or is it a random affair of firing any unit in the stack?
Could be useful to know. |

I have not played any other weather scenarios than the Gettysburg ones. The play balance can be affected by weather but I have not noticed this yet. The weather should be similar to the actual battle and VP and objective hexes should be taken into consideration. On another subject VP hexes in my opi... |
