[:D]General Moose I'm sure you will go far in the Rebel Army. Your abilities as "Field" commander already far exceed most of those barefoot soldier wannabes. Best of luck you dear moose, keep your antlers down and your powder dry. Oh yeah Larry see you later. Lt. Gen. Ed Blackburn II/VI/AoS [img] ht... |

Union Col. Wise on the effect of Artillery "We often hear the sneering criticism that at such and such a battle but 1 or 2 per cent of the enemy's loss was due to the fire of artillery. Any such test is entirely erroneous. Not only do the guns exert a tremendous moral effect in support of their infa... |

I totally agree. The routed troops are like heat seeking missiles that seek out and disrupt the guns. They even go out of their way do this. The sad fact is I have read numerous examples of Civil War troops using guns to rally on and make a stand and have never read about troops disrupting crews to ... |

A haggard man wearing Federal Blue enters the bar and looks around. As he stomps the snow from his boots he spies a pair of dirty bare feet sticking out from under a long wooden table. He chuckles and states "Ah, looks as if General Simms is already here". "Barkeep, a round in General Walter's honor... |

No need to feel sad General Walter. There are still a lot of us who enjoy the role-playing. I enjoy it myself but always try to keep it perspective. I have observed times when it can get a bit out of hand. It is fun to add a "sense of period" to our wargaming as long as we stay cognizant of the fact... |
