I agree with 3, 4, 5 and 6. To elaborate on 5, I see no reason why a unit couldn't receive a partial resupply if a wagon is low; say, 20 rnds/man instead of 40. Actually, the computer gives us the ability to do a lot more, such as differentiate between the types of ammo available in the basic load (... |

Hi, Rich, Personally, I think the morale penalties for higher fatigue ought to be adequate to dissuade players from advancing 400-500 fatigue units. The problem with rules like this are unintended consequences, such as enemy units routing behind your lines preventing you from withdrawing the high fa... |

Hi, Rich, Honestly, between the two, I think it is the game engine, but it is more complex than that. Here are my considerations. A. Stacking-Historically, the area represented by a hex would contain fewer troops, because only about 350 in a two-rank line could fire. In the game, 1000 can fire. Regu... |

Hi, Colonel, The problem I have with the system is the opposite of yours; firing on an artillery unit over and over with no appreciable effect. I have fought one battle where the enemy seemed to pick off my crews at four hex range with regularity. Every other battle the batteries draw ADF that is es... |

Hi, General, If have been able to conserve ammo enough to make it last until three turns before the end of the game, I take my hat off to you. I ran out near the end of the second day, but we were playing phases, which I think uses more ammo than single turn. Hopefully some day Doug Strickland will ... |

Hi, Hank, You could probably find the state of birth in Generals in Blue and Generals in Gray, both by Ezra Warner. Of course, there were a handful of generals on each side who came from the opposite sides' states, such as Pemberton and Thomas. The bigger problem might be that many Union brigades an... |
