My Grandad Best fought in WW1. I have his stories which I pass on the my Grand Kids. They will probably see the year 2100. Even if they tell no one, My Grandads story goes on to almost 200 years after the event. History dies slowly if we will pass it on!![:)]

Thanks for that Historical information. I do think we tend to get a bit cavilier about rear guards although against a good Cavalryman I sure watch out!!

To continue: The hex now contains the unlimbered captured guns( with F quality) and the mounted cav unit. Despite the unlimbered guns infnatry still cannot melee the mounted Cav unit. Thus, you cant just have a moderate size infantry unit march up and recapture the guns you have to bring enough fire...

To userp General Lajoies topic which has gone off topic In my latest battle some Yank cavalry captured some LIMBERED Reb guns. The captured guns unlimbered and were usable by the Yanks. Before the rule change, the guns would have taken some casualties and retreated. This is a drastic change!! My que...

Alan I think each version captures the differences in the time periods. To me, Nappy games are more difficult to master and play well and I would think that by corrollary would be more satisfying once one had mastered them. They do seem more tedious at times. I think you will be glad to hear that th...

I vote No!! These games are really good as they are but there is room for change. I think there are many more considerations such as command control that could be addresss rather than trying to fix blitzkreig tactics by making changes that are just as unrealistic ie. I think a unit totally surrounde...

BCE!! I had forgotton but in one or two of my games with General Adams and Thayer we had implimented B.C.E> We based it on fatigue not casualties. In Talonsoft it was fairly easy. Just keep a note of each Brigade and when ever the average fatigue level reaches a certain point they BCE. Could also be...

Quite some time ago you mentioned trying out some of these rules in actual games. Have you done so and what was the results?
