Just for the record: 105 replies, that includes 9 posts of mine and 2 officers accidentally posting twice = -11, leaving 94 Union officers to present their commands for the former CoA's review. Since our active strength is around 150, this is indeed an excellent turnout. Now, where is Gen. Laub? [;)... |

A word on battalions: Technically, the ACW regiments (like most British army regiments of the 18th and 19th century btw) were one-battalion regiments, i.e. regiment was the organizational unit, battalion the tactical unit.
