I have seen a few pictures of the cycloramas John, and they are incredible. The Shiloh one did look quite amazing even in black and white photographs. Each generation some historical treasures are lost, and others are found and restored. Such is life. Strain is quite talented, and takes special care... |

Great Post John! Overland looks like a very well thought out product. I have been wanting to buy it and I think I will today. Thanks for explaining some of the underlying rules in the game. And I have been in the club about 4 months now. I'm very happy I did. |

Sorry to be spamming the boards here, but I am looking for a couple BG scenarios that were created for BG Bull Run. The first is Jackson's Shenandoah Campaign. The other is the Battle of Phillipi. I have checked on the Cartography site and in SDC, and didn't see it anywhere. Any one have those files... |

I would like to propose a toast to all the brave men we have fought against and along side in many battles! I wonder, of all the opponents you have faced, is the most fearsome and unpredictable? I have looked over some records in the DoR, and while I realize we most highly value participation over w... |

I know this is old, but I enjoy throwing in some battle noises with my playlist. Cannons booming, rattle of musketry. Very nice effects. Was designed by a Rebel officer a couple years back. I have the files if anyone wants them. |

I have always enjoyed paintings of the Civil War as they offer a peek into the lives and battles of the era. I received a John Paul Strain "Heat at Catherine Furnace" and it is a great piece. It set me to wondering what are some of your favorite artists and paintings? Strains between battl... |

I recently picked up "A Stillness at Appomatox" by Bruce Catton, as well as other good reads on the fierce, desperate fighting of 1864. It is a year I am not as familiar with but I hope to soon remedy that. From what I have read, Rebels had certain advantages, principally the hardened vete... |

Looks amazing!! As always great work. Now I just need Overland haha. I guess you could use these 3d .bmp for the other HPS titles, the oobs would just be off and display the wrong units I assume. |

I am having trouble figuring out how to use the special modes(PBEM and Two Player Hot Seat) on mod scenarios in the Battleground series. I have the Matrix bundle version, and the mod scenarios that I downloaded from the Cartography offices, which is about 20 or so, do not appear in the main menu app... |

Well I know what I'll be "foraging" tonight, and what is on the schedule for this my battery's officer's mess tent. Man that barbecue post sounded delicious! To Turkey Rustler, thats some good fortune, in a smaller scenario like Wilson's Creek 54VPs is pretty significant. I suffered a majo... |
