#1 and #2, re melees, are fine with me. #3 about the AI, whatever makes the AI better. #4 . . . Having to rest that much is not historical. That would equal a five minute rest every twenty minutes, or 25%. Stonewall Jackson historically was known for resting his troops 10 minutes every hour, max, an...

You don't think there's anything non-historical or unusual about a routed regiment routing FORWARD through the enemies lines? Instead of back towards their own lines? That was my point.

In woods to the west of Gettysburg, in an HPS campaign scenario there, MG Abner Doubleday's division was attacking Rebs. Abner was a good three hexes behind his meleeing regiments, yet when the Rebs were defeated in melee and routed they routed THROUGH my Union lines, passed right over MG Doubleday ...

Would it be out of the question to have a live feed---for certain selected events such as Mr Tiller's appearance---from TillerConII? . . . I am one of those who doesn't have the ability to consider attending, but would love to see some of the 'goings-on.' . . . Also, re the 10th Anniversary, how abo...

General Walter: No, no . . . "Exit" objectives was not what I was talking about. That's a different thing entirely. In the case you're referring to, a player is given credit for exiting at a particular hex (usually equal to what the exiting spite would be worth in casualty math). I'm talking about s...

Thank you, sir. That makes sense. Actually, if one thinks about it, there would be a quasi-penalty for removing units to 'save' them: the resulting dearth of troops would make it easier for the opponent to capture any remaining Objective Hex locations, etc. Brig Gen Dwight McBride 1st Brigade ("The ...

The Official House Rules state: "5.1.4 Withdrawal of all (or a substantial portion of) forces from the battlefield, unless specified in the scenario as a victory condition, will cost the withdrawing player a 2-step reduction in the level of victory. Removal from the map of individual units, routed b...

Seeking an opponent for the full New Madrid Campaign from the Shiloh disk . . . Wish to play a Reb I haven't faced before, one who hasn't played the Madrid campaign previously . . . Options: all except Manual Def Fire and the two quality modifiers, but may be willing to discuss. Brig Gen Dwight McBr...

I quote from the club rules: "3.3.2.3 Cabinet Secretaries. The Cabinet Secretaries will participate and vote in Cabinet decisions and perform other duties as assigned by the Club President." That's rather a difficult phrase to pin down. Would it be possible to know some of the duties which have been...

The only thing I would change about the current system is to give the option of "Don't Resupply" to infantry regiments, so smaller/worse/fatigued units wouldn't use supplies I'd rather save for better regiments . . . With artillery, you can always limber them to prevent their using up artillery ammo...

My experience has showed that infantry, cavalry, artillery all receive the same penalty: 10 marks per turn . . . regardless of distance traveled or daytime allowance.
