Would like to play a scenario or campaign, maneuver or battle almost anything usually check everything except artillery capture,retire by prolonge, and manual defensive fire. I have Gettysburg,Shiloh,Vicksburg,Chancellorsville,Atlanta,and Antietam. Let me know at ernief950@aol.com

Is their A paper written that explaines the game effects of the diffrent rule setting? How is one able to melee durning the turn or in A seprate phase, or why in some games A unit can't change formation except before it moves? Can the rule setting have diffrent effects in diffrent games or battles?

I find artillery to be of not much use in close combat. I don't recall ever getting A big hit on infantry about to melee also artillery crews seem to get killed often due to rifle fire from close units. In the old talonsoft games you were taking your life in your hands to try and melee artillery. Wh...
